The SEC’s injection of the climate issue into its charter is but one more example of this administration’s surrender to a climate alarm dogma driven by ideology, not science. Governing the rational conduct of the securities’ market is a very serious job with no room for politically driven motives.

The American experiment has been a remarkable success in no small measure because of free markets based on the self-interest of investors unimpeded by the coercion of bureaucrats. There is no climate emergency, no need to monitor so-called carbon footprints, and no threat from the most important of all plant foods, carbon dioxide.
