Patrick (“Pat”) J. D. Elliott
Pat Elliott gained a B. Comm in 1976, and M.B.A (Mineral Economics) in 1979 and a B.Sc in 2022. Pat has had a career in resource exploration, financing and development and is now a non-executive Director of Tamboran Resources Inc, which is developing the Beetaloo shale gas play in Northern Territory, Australia. He is also a Director of several private mineral exploration companies, primarily focussed on copper as well as being a Director of a leading FMCG business in Australia.
During his career, Pat spent time at Consolidated Gold Fields (Australia) Limited in the mining industry before switching to investments banking and becoming an Executive Director of Morgan Grenfell (Australia) Limited. After that time Pat moved into resources exploration and investing as a Principal and has been involved in the early stages of the Narrabri, NSW CSG project, Sapex Limited (oil and gas exploration) in South Australia and, more recently, formed Tamboran Resources Inc and has seen the company attract the necessary expertise and capital to be moving into initial production from the Beetaloo Basin by August 26.
Pat has long had a focus on applying logical and scientific rigor to the analysis of geological and business issues. Pat is very well read on the science of climate change and the impacts of CO2, initially through the works of Prof Ian Plimer.
Pat is strongly opposed to the demonization of CO2 which is based on political fashion and ignores the benefits of higher CO2 concentrations on agricultural productivity.
