Bachelor of Architecture

Craig Cernek is an accomplished architect and design/build professional with over 30 years of experience in residential, commercial, and urban development projects. He earned a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Illinois School of Architecture at Chicago (1988) and has been a registered professional architect in Illinois (1992–present), Tennessee (2024–present), and previously in Colorado and Wisconsin.

As President of Archi/Build Group, Inc. (1990–present) and Senior Architect at Tigerman McCurry Architects LTD (2017–present), Craig has led diverse projects, from single-family homes to commercial buildings, managing design, construction, and technical execution. His expertise spans structural engineering, building materials science, HVAC systems, and plumbing, bolstered by over 12 hours of annual continuing education through the Association of Licensed Architects and American Institute of Architects since 1999. A hands-on innovator, he has designed and built machines and electronic circuitry, including spark gap generators and combustion-engine models, reflecting his practical approach to technical challenges.

Since 2020, Craig T. Cernek has immersed himself in climate change research, studying the works of Dr. John Clauser, Dr. Judith Curry, Alex Epstein, Dr. William Happer, Dr. Richard Lindzen, Dr. Steven Koonin, Bjorn Lomborg, Dr. Patrick Moore, Gregory Wrightstone, and Dr. Willie Soon. These efforts have equipped him with a rigorous, science-based understanding of climate dynamics and energy policy.

Additionally, since 2020, he has pursued extensive independent studies into Marxism, postmodernism, wokeism, and climatism, engaging deeply with the works of Victor Davis Hanson, Dr. Stephen Hicks, Dr. James Lindsay, Heather Mac Donald, Douglas Murray, George Orwell, Dr. Jordan Peterson, Alexander Solzhenitsyn, and Dr. Thomas Sowell. This intellectual exploration has sharpened his critical perspective on ideological trends and their societal implications.

A respected leader, he serves as President of the Association of Licensed Architects Board of Directors (2025–present) and has held multiple leadership roles within the AIA Chicago Chapter. With a career grounded in precision and enriched by his recent studies, Craig T. Cernek brings a unique blend of technical expertise and informed skepticism to the CO2 Coalition, contributing to its mission of advancing rational discourse on energy and climate issues.
