Caleb Rossiter

Ph.D. Policy Analysis

Caleb S. Rossiter is a climate statistician. He served as executive director of the CO2 Coalition in 2019 and 2020. Rossiter received an M.A. in Mathematics from American University and a Ph.D. in Policy Analysis, with a minor in African Studies, from Cornell University. For 20 years he worked in Washington, DC, on U.S. foreign policy, first on the congressional staff and then as the director of the advocacy and research group Demilitarization for Democracy. Then for 15 years Rossiter taught quantitative methods, such as statistics and mathematical modeling, and U.S. African policy at American University. He was the only professor on the faculty of both the School of International Service and the Department of Mathematics and Statistics. Rossiter is the author of several books on U.S. imperial policy.  He also co-wrote, with the late CO2 Coalition member and Texas Commission on Environmental Quality Chairman, Kathleen Hartnett-White, the 2020 Coalition report, “New Tech American Coal-fired Electricity for Africa: Clean Air, Indoors and Out.”
