Marketing & Multimedia Associate
The Marketing & Multimedia Associate reports to the Vice President of Marketing & Multimedia. Due to the vast public reach, it is of utmost importance that the Multimedia & Multimedia Associate has strong writing skills and is fully aligned with the CO2 Coalition’s and CO2 Learning Center’s mission and work.
This individual assists the Vice President of Marketing & Multimedia, primarily with CO2 Learning Center projects. The primary objectives are to:
- Disseminate our CO2 Learning Center media messages on select social media platforms
- Add content to CO2 Learning Center website including news items, papers, videos, and the like
- Assist in CO2 Learning Center outreach to get our education materials to private schools, homeschools, public charter schools as well assist with CO2 Learning Center projects and prepare for conventions/events
- Assist in the design of marketing communications campaigns
- Assist in layout and design of our brochures, pamphlets, and research publications
CO2 Learning Center Responsibilities
Website
- Posting content as assigned from the Vice President of Marketing & Multimedia to the CO2 Learning Center website
Social Media
- Post and or schedule CO2 Learning Center social media content as approved by Vice President of Marketing & Multimedia to multiple platforms:
- X (formerly Twitter)
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram)
- YouTube
- Rumble
- Research other possible platforms and how to mass post our messages
Publications
Assist the Vice President of Marketing & Multimedia with the production of CO2 Coalition and CO2 Learning Center in:
- Assigning ISBNs to new publications
- Creating QR codes that link to publications
- Reviewing publication copy to identify typographical errors, etc
Marketing/Merchandise
Assist the Vice President of Marketing & Multimedia in:
- Designing and ordering brand merchandise for the upcoming CO2 Coalition store
- Researching potential marketing materials we can include in our store, at conventions, as well as for staff and other marketing purposes
Conventions and Events
- Register for all CO2 Learning Center Conferences, Conventions, and Expos
- Assist Vice President of Marketing & Multimedia with advertising in conference programs, websites, etc.
- Attend and exhibit at conferences when needed
- Package and mail content for CO2 Learning Events
Other Responsibilities
Assist the Vice President of Marketing & Multimedia with these CO2 Learning Center tasks:
- Executing postcard mailing project and other outreach projects
- Preparing and mailing packets that introduce our CO2 Learning Center books and lesson plans
- Researching for places to advertise our materials with homeschool association magazines, websites and other organizations
- Mailing newly printed books to Education Committee Members
- Coordinating interviews for Education Committee Leadership on television and radio
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience
- ·Alignment with and passion for the Coalition’s mission and work is important
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Proven track record of successful teamwork and interaction with superiors
- Solid skills in organization and record-keeping
- Travel outside of the Washington area is expected
- Duties are not confined to normal business hours
Compensation
This position is structured as a full-time position with benefits. Salary will be commensurate with experience. Benefits include:

The office dress code is business casual, but a few appointments may require formal business attire.

The office is located one block from the Rosslyn DC Metro stop and is serviced by the orange, blue, and silver lines. Note that the office location will move to Fairfax, walking distance from the Dunn Loring-Merrifield DC Metro stop and the Mosaic District on November 1, 2024.
