American CO2 Emissions on 14-Year Downward Trend

Three things are happening here at once since 2008 to reduce US CO2 emissions:

  1. Climate alarm policies ramped-up (with a temporary reversal in early 2017 to early 2020).
  2. Economic stagflation started-up (with a temporary reversal in early 2017 to early 2020).
  3. These first two mutually reinforced each other (especially since early 2021).

“Carbon dioxide [CO2] emissions are those stemming from the burning of fossil fuels and the manufacture of cement. They include carbon dioxide produced during consumption of solid, liquid, and gas fuels and gas flaring.” – Trading Economics definition
