Perry Long has been selling real estate since 1972, specializing in large tracts of land throughout Eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He has served as a liaison between farmers and developers of multimillion-dollar commercial and industrial projects and as an agent in ownership transfers of working farms and for merger and acquisition arrangements.

Perry manages a third-generation family farm, which includes equestrian activities and is a board member of the Lehigh County (Pennsylvania) Farm Bureau. He is also a past president of the Whitehall Exchange Club, a former member of the Whitehall Industrial Development Authority, a member of a local planning commission and is a deacon in his church.

Perry regularly interacts with policymakers and others to raise their awareness of the ill effects of irrational climate policies and the benefits of CO₂ .
