Paul Burgess
Paul Burgess, B.Sc., M.Sc., C.Eng., is a retired chartered environmental engineer specializing in water resources. Now 80 years old and residing in the United Kingdom. He brings decades of expertise to his work in climate and environmental analysis.
In 1971, Paul pioneered climate models to assess the frequency of droughts and floods, integrating these with economic modeling and operations research techniques to design robust regional water resource systems. Through this groundbreaking research, he established the significant influence of solar cycles on rain-fed river flows.
By 1974, Paul had assumed leadership of water resource planning for Wales, overseeing nationwide meteorological data collection and all technical data for the authority. He also represented Wales on key government committees.
In the 1980s, after departing public service, Paul founded his own company, leveraging his technical acumen to develop innovative products that advanced the field.
Just after the turn of the century, Paul grew concerned about the alarmism surrounding climate change narratives. This prompted him to engage publicly, including numerous appearances on national television and radio, as well as addresses to the parliaments of the United Kingdom and Romania.
Today, through his YouTube channel, Climate Realism by Paul Burgess, he has produced nearly 300 videos. His mission is to demystify climate science, making it accessible and understandable for the everyday person.
