U.S. CO2 Emissions Still Trending Down Since 2008

CO2 emissions (kt) in United States was reported at 4817720 kt in 2019, according to the World Bank collection of development indicators, compiled from officially recognized sources. United States – CO2 emissions (kt) – actual values, historical data, forecasts and projections were sourced from the World Bank on July of 2022. Carbon dioxide emissions are those stemming from the burning of fossil fuels and the manufacture of cement. They include carbon dioxide produced during consumption of solid, liquid, and gas fuels and gas flaring.
