Ted Cruz thumbed his nose at global warming. Speaking to a group of Southern California donors, Cruz said “the data and facts don’t support it.” According to National Review, Cruz delivered a point-blank denial of the fantasy-filled global phenomenon.
Cruz pointed out the administration’s political ploy for power as “massive government control of the economy, the energy sector, and our lives.” What global warming? Cruz would have none of the hype, none of the caca of climate model predictions, none of the “facts” unsupported by observations and said so to the Californians fed up with the fibs. Cruz not only spots a lie when he sees one, but also speaks up about it, turning up the contrast between himself and other Republican hopefuls kowtowing to the other side of the aisle.
Referring to Obama’s latest video about catastrophic heat, sea levels rising to drown nations whole, and extreme weather events as the new normal, Cruz points to opportunity the administration has taken for an egregious and politically motivated power grab.
In the 70s, it was the coming Ice Age that never happened wherein Democrats proposed government controls over energy. The 80s saw the start up of a global warming phenomenon, spurred by climate fanatic James Hansen’s 1988 Senate hearing heating up the false phenomenon to birth “global warming” as cause de rigueur for government control.
Nearly two decades of actual data bore no warming to belie climate model predictions: Hot stuff it is not. Democrats then renamed the false phenomenon with the more inclusive “climate change.” Any departure from a non-existing ideal could be charged as cause to justify stifling regulation.
Cruz exhibits extraordinary intellect in understanding the science of climate change, particularly the part where the science is unsettled. Spencer and Bast debunked the “consensus” that politically proclaimed catastrophe, while Cruz can recognize a ruse when real data belies pumped-up fears. Cruz believes in reining back the regulation that is wrecking the economy on a non-issue. Cruz’s informed stance on the matter marks him as a man suited for leading the nation out of its climate morass.
